Kelburn Castle - History & Art

Kelburn Castle

Situated on the outskirts of Largs it is home to the Earls of Glasgow for over 700 years, the castle and grounds is a tantalising and inspirational place for adults and children alike. The Secret Forest, The Playbarn, The Glen, Riding Centre, Falconry Centre and the Graffiti Project which saw the 1580s Tower and south gable spray-painted by Brazilian artists is a great draw for all. See the Kelburn Country Centre site for full range of activities and seasonal attractions.

Castles and Stately Homes, Culzean Castle, Dean Castle and Greenan Castle are all fine examples of early Scottish architecture and certainly worth a visit. Details can be obtained from The National Trust site.
