Water Sports

The National Watersports Centre run by Sport Scotland is based on the sheltered eastern side of Great Cumbrae island just 15 –20 minutes walk and ferry trip from the Woodhouse Hotel. Here you can try virtually all water based activities including power boating, dinghy sailing, wind surfing, sea kayaking and large boat cruising. The courses also include training and assessment for RYA qualifications.

Further down the Clyde at Irvine there is sand kiting and water kiting "try me" and four hour instructional courses.
